Pioneer Turners Luncheon
By Ken Bounds
On March 8, twelve NIRG members enjoyed the annual Pioneer
Turners Luncheon at Café Prague in Chicago.
Our host, Charles Kaiser, is the President of the Pioneer Turners and
invited our group to join the Turners at their luncheon.
There was a festive atmosphere at the Café, decorated for St. Patrick’s
Day, as we were served the traditional lunch of a delicious corned beef
sandwich, accompanied by potato pancakes.
After lunch Charles pulled door prize tickets out of his hat and awarded
some interesting bottled beverages to several lucky winners, included some from
our group. This was followed by the
W C Fields movie If
I Had a Million.
In addition to a good-sized crowd from the Turners
organization, those participating from the NIRG were our host Charles Kaiser,
Ken Bounds, Earl & Gene Heintz, John Judge, Frank & Phyllis Madrigali, Dan
Pudelek, John & Este Scheve, and George & Dawn Zulas.
Thanks go out to Charles for arranging a delightful event.
