Eggs & Eights – Egg Harbor Restaurant, Geneva

By Ken Bounds

On Sunday, April 21, 29 V-8ers (and seven V-8s) gathered for the popular Eggs & Eights Breakfast, arranged again in Geneva by Tom & Judy Buscaglia.  Unfortunately, due to unforeseen conflicts, Tom & Judy could not be present.  On a beautiful, if chilly, Spring morning, everyone arrived around 9:00 am to enjoy great food, super service, and a large helping of V-8 camaraderie.

It was nice to see Jack & Jean Nikolich – Jack, who just turned 90 in March, missed most club events last year due to illness.  He looked great!  We also got to see some members we haven’t seen in a while.  Gary & Dawn Osborne were there - they joined the Club about a year ago.  We also were pleased to see Lin & Pat Stacey - yes, Lin is still a member!

Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the food and the company.  Thanks go out to Tom and Judy for setting up another successful event.  Afterwards, a number of us went into the parking lot for some tire kicking.  Arriving in Early V-8s were, starting on the left,  Dan & Diane – ’53 Victoria, Joe & Nell – ’53 Mercury, Ken & Carolyn – ’51 Mercury, John Judge – ’51 Victoria, Lin & Pat – ’42 Sedan Coupe, John & Robin – ’49 Fordor, and Roger – ’51 Tudor.  The chill in the air cut the fun short though and most members were on their way by 11:00.
