Waukegan Yacht Club Classic Car and Antique Boat Show

The Waukegan Yacht Club held their annual Classic Car and Antique Boat Show Saturday, August 6.  Bill and Marty Valters encouraged all NIRG members to show their Early V-8s and invited members over for coffee and sweets and a tour of their gorgeous boat.  The day started out rainy in much of the area, but at Waukegan harbor the weather was sunny and hot – a great day for a car show.

Bill said that the rain threat cut attendance this year nearly in half.  Of the 77 autos on display, NIRG members brought 10 of them.  Attending were Tom Barosso & Betty Klafta, 1939 Standard Tudor; Ron Blum, 1940 Fordor; Tom Buscaglia, 1951 Tudor; Jack Nikolich, 1939 Convertible; Tom O’Donnell, 1940 Mercury; Dan Pudelek, 1953 Victoria; Joe Serritella, 1941 Coupe; Stan Stack, 1953 Tudor; Bill & Marty Valters, 1940 Coupe; and Len & Irene Vinyard, 1939 Convertible.  Our thanks to Bill & Marty for their hospitality!
