Eggs & Eights Breakfast

By Ken Bounds

Sunday, April 10, was a beautiful day – very sunny and warm for this wet, chilly spring with a high in the mid-80s.  It was a perfect morning for our Eggs & Eights breakfast, hosted by Tom & Judy Buscaglia at Egg Harbor Restaurant in Geneva.  Six beautiful Early V-8s parked outside the restaurant attracted a lot of attention.

Our hosts Tom & Judy Buscaglia, Dick & Dotty Alfini, Dennis Bohannon, Ken & Carolyn Bounds, Roger Hunz, John Judge, Joe & Nell Kozmic, John & Barbara Slobodnik, and Larry & Jerry Webb enjoyed a terrific breakfast and excellent service, along with a large dose of V-8 camaraderie.  It was great to see the Webbs and to see Dick and Dotty after Dick’s recent surgery.

Our hosts, Tom & Judy V-8ers always enjoy a good meal

After breakfast a number of us went outside to kick a few tires, to answer questions from several admirers, and to generally hang out.  Those who brought Early V-8s were Dennis, 49 Tudor; Ken & Carolyn, 50 Convertible (top down!); Tom, 51 Tudor; Roger, 51 Tudor; John J, 51 Victoria; and Joe & Nell, 53 Mercury.  Thanks to Tom & Judy for arranging a nice event.

Shown below are five of the six Early V-8s gleaming in the April sun.  The dropped top gives a hint of the spectacular weather.
