Christmas Luncheon

On December 5 Joey Novak hosted a Christmas Luncheon at Biaggi's Ristorante Italiano in Deer Park.  On a chilly pre-winter day, 35 V-8ers and friends gathered at noon for a great afternoon of delicious food, excellent service, and V-8 camaraderie.  It was great to have Barb Pope join us for this event.  We were pleased to welcome first-timers John & Este Scheve, who joined the club this past June. 

After a little time to enjoy each other’s company and perhaps a delicious beverage, our meal was served.  After the meal several of the ladies participated in our ladies grab bag, brought back after an absence of several years.  As we enjoyed plenty of lively conversation, some of those attending seemed to be making extra trips to the restroom.  Upon investigation, the reason was apparent; the Bears game was on in the bar.  Everyone was relieved when the Bears squeaked out a victory over the Lions, a team they were predicted to beat handily.  After a relaxing afternoon, everyone made their way home, or perhaps did a little Christmas shopping. 

Our thanks go out to Joe for setting up this nice luncheon.  Those present included our host Joe Novak, President and First Lady Dan & Diane Pudelek, Dick & Dotty Alfini, Bernard & Ginny Ashley, Ken & Carolyn Bounds, Elaine Braun, Tom & Judy Buscaglia, Joe & Marie Dispensa, Lloyd & Gladys Duzell, Stan Gaynor & guest Pam Sipp, Earl & Gene Heintz, Joe & Nell Kozmic, Barbara Pope, John & Este Scheve, Joe & Delice Serritella, John & Barbara Slobodnik, Stan & JoAnne Stack, Len & Irene Vinyard, and Larry & Jerry Webb. 

This being the final V-8 Club event of the year, we send out our sincere thanks to the officers, directors, and members for another fine year of V-8ing fun!
