Veterans’ Day Luncheon

We had a nice turnout for our annual Veterans’ Day Luncheon held on November 13, once again at Sam’s of Arlington in Arlington Heights. Over 30 V-8ers enjoyed camaraderie along with great food and drinks and outstanding service. We say “Thank You” to Earl and Gene Heintz for acting as our hosts and making the arrangements.
After a sunny week with temperatures in the 60’s, mother nature did not cooperate for our outing. Falling temperatures and rain kept all the V-8s at home in their garages, but did not dampen the spirit for President and First Lady Dan & Diane Pudelek, our hosts Earl & Gene Heintz, Ken Bounds, Tom & Judy Buscaglia, Ron Dopke, Lloyd & Gladys Duzell, John & Robin Emmering, Roger Hunz, John Judge, Joe & Nell Kozmic, Frank & Phyllis Madrigali, Jack & Jean Nikolich, Joey Novak, Tom O’Donnell, Barb Pope, Joe & Delice Serritella, John Slobodnik, Stan & JoAnne Stack, Len & Irene Vinyard, and Alan Wall.
Our Veterans’ Day Luncheon is nothing formal, just a little celebration to honor
our members who have served in the armed forces.
After a short program to recognize our Veterans, we had a door prize
drawing just for them. Winners were:
3rd Place, Outback gift card to Roger Hunz; 2nd Place, Bed, Bath, and
Beyond gift card to Joe Kozmic (we guess he has to share it with Nell); and 1st
Place, another Outback gift card to Tom O’Donnell.
Thank you to all who have served and thanks to the members for attending.
