My Story – 1950 Ford Convertible

As told to John Judge

Hi.  On April 28, 1950, I was born in Chicago and went to Hill Ford of Oak Park, Illinois.  There I stayed until September 8th and a nice man named Frank Madrigali brought me home.  He tried to put me in his garage, but I would not fit.  So, back to Hill Ford where they took off my outside spare tire, and now I would fit.

I stayed with Frank and was taken out just now and then, Sunday mostly.  In 1961 I was going from one place to another and just sitting.  Well, I was looking for someone to take me home.  Frank’s nephew, John Judge, said come home with me.  OK and I sat around some more until John Witthoeft saw John’s name in the V-8 Times.  In 1986 he came and told John about a real nice club called Northern Illinois Early Ford V-8 Club.

In 1987 John joined the club and I got to see the day light.  I am happy that I now have two brothers, a 1951 Ford and a 1952 F2 Tow Truck.

P.S.  “Ken, yes my top does go down.”
